A gentle female voice sighed it aloud. Once again, Topaz found herself here, sitting atop a lonely building overlooking Onibus Town. Yes, yes, she knew. There were rumors of Dark Guild members who enjoyed spending a bit of time loitering around the city. It was likely not the safest place she could be hanging around, especially at this time of the day. Her ears flattened against her head slightly as her amber-colored eyes stared upwards towards the sky. The night was dark as anything, the moon the only friend keeping her company on this lonely roof. [break][break] A calm breeze began to gently blow to the right, taking Topaz's fiery locks of hair along with its stream. Carefully, the fox-eared girl stood up, overlooking the town. She took a moment to glance down at her palms. Her skin was pale, soft, and-- [break][break] "Weak..." Growled out the girl to herself, her low voice filled with a venomous self-hatred. Why was she always so mellow? So shy? So feeble? Why was it just so difficult to stand up and fight? Topaz always had trouble bringing herself to hurt others-- even in the name of good. She simply wanted to help bring peace amongst the Guilds but how could she do so if she hardly had any strength to move past her doubts? [break][break] "Oh Sky, why curse me with such an element?" She asked out to no one, crying out at the heavens above her. "Why not fire, or ice, or earth, or anything that exudes a sense of strength? All I wish is to protect!" Topaz plead, attempting to grasp onto any resolve she could. "But... Sky? It is just the wind! Something so airy and loose... Does it even harbor any power to it?" Topaz said in an exasperated voice, fingers combing through her long strands of hair. [break][break] She sighed and shook her head. No... This wasn't the approach she could take. This element of her's wasn't something she could just take away. Topaz scoffed at herself; if her mother or father were to see her look so distraught they'd spit out in disgust, disappointed with such a show of fragility. [break][break] "Begging to be lifted of this element would really be the weak choice, wouldn't it?" Topaz mused to herself, beginning to regret all that she had contemplated beforehand. Perhaps, this didn't need to be all that bad. [break][break] Topaz looked below her for a moment before leaping off the ledge of the building, casting a gale of wind out to slow her fall. "Air is loose... but I suppose it is also free. And there's nothing I enjoy more than that," The young woman chuckled to herself abashedly. [break][break] Keeping to the shadows, Topaz took a quick glance around the city. Despite being a city that harbored rumored Dark Guilds, it had a lively aura -- something good was still here. She could not fall victim to judging a book by its cover. Just as how the Sky appeared like a feeble force yet had its hidden benefits, Topaz needed to get both sides of the story for every Guild. Even if it went against what her parents might have thought suitable for her. That way, fairness for all could be ensured. [break][break] "Liberation. That's what this Sky stuff is all about. I'll find a way... somehow. With these powers, I'll find a way to maintain peace amongst the Guilds and the land." [break][break]
The girl assured herself. nano[googlefont=Roboto] [newclass=.yuki-box] height: 450px; width: 550px; background: #000; border:20px solid; border-radius:10px; border-color:#fc744e; position:relative;[/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-large1]height:450px;width:250px;background:url('https://i.imgur.com/yr6ZMlS.png');position:absolute;left:0px;[/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-smallbox] height:450px; width:350px; background:#fff; position:absolute; right:0px; border-radius:50px 0px 0px 50px; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-iconborder]height:100px;width:100px;background:#fc744e;border-radius:100px;position:absolute;right:15px;top:15px;padding:10px;[/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-icon1]height:100px;width:100px;background:url('https://i.imgur.com/Ukf5BUh.png');border-radius:100px;position:relative;[/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-textbox] height:220px; width:250px; background:#fff; border:1px solid #b52c05; position:absolute; bottom:40px; right:20px; padding:20px; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-text] height:190px; width:230px; position:absolute; top:25px; text-align:justify; font-size:11px; overflow:auto; padding:10px; font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-text b]color:#c73006; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-tag] font-size:10px; text-align:left; width:150px; border:1px #b52c05; border-style:hidden hidden solid hidden; padding:3px; position:relative; top:40px; right:10px; font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-notes] font-size:10px; text-align:left; width:250px; border:1px #b52c05; border-style:hidden hidden solid hidden; padding:3px; position:relative; top:50px; right:10px; font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-text::-webkit-scrollbar] width: 1px; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-text::-webkit-scrollbar-track] background: #fff; [/newclass] [newclass=.yuki-text::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb] background: #b52c05; [/newclass]

Post by Adil Stodz on May 28, 2020 3:20:02 GMT
OOC Name: Laskt Slayer Position Desired: Blade Devil Slayer RP Sample:
The moss choked ruins had stood for several millenia, untouched by any mortals but those of the lost and confused. On the surface, there didn’t seem to be anything particularly remarkable about them: there was no trace of gold or riches, jewels or ancient scrolls. The ruins simply were, even as nature slowly reclaimed lost ground.
On one particular bright summer day however, the ruins’ sanctity was breached by the sound of heavy breathing and footfalls, as a golden-haired young man retreated into the mossy stones, blood running down his arms and brow. The young man’s fingers were clenched tight around a pair of twin long-swords, slick with blood on both their hand-grips and naked blades as the red shone in the noonday sun.
Adil Stodz calmed his breathing, slowly walking backwards further and further into the scant concealment the ruins offered, his eyes darting to and fro, scanning for further enemies. The novice smith knew he had been lucky to have found this place, as the magical energy practically flowing from the ancient stones easily masked his own, faint signature. The bandits that had attacked him must have had one sensitive to the flows of magic to have ambushed him so efficiently, they must have! The only other option was that the swordsman had made a mistake, and that was perhaps even more disconcerting!
Adil grimaced as the though passed through his mind, taking his eyes off the wilderness for a few seconds to glance down at his left-hand blade, sneering at the slight nick that had appeared. Without breaking side, the wanderer dropped the blade, leaving it behind to the mercy of the elements.
Unfortunately, all the information flying through Adil’s mind had somewhat compromised his spatial awareness, as was proven when his foot caught on the lip of an ancient fountain-pool. Biting back a curse, Adil desperately tried to reclaim his balance, but it was too late. The wanderer fell backwards, smashing through the rotten wooden bottom before falling into darkness…..
Adil awoke sometime later, sore, groaning, and not particularly pleased. His red eyes strained to pierce the gloom, but the darkness seemed almost absolute. Suddenly, a light burst forth, emanating in radiant waves from a single object.
A single sword.
Adil’s eyes widened as he drank in the blade’s naked perfection, it’s shining flawlessness. He took an involuntary step forward before his survival instinct kicked back in and he shot backward.
Hair rose on the back of the swordsman’s neck as dozens upon dozens of blades slammed point first into the ground he had just been standing on, perforating the bare stone with dozens of swords, sunk up to the haft.
“Interesting….”
The word echoed throughout the cavern, filled with a sense of thoughtfulness and surprise. Adil’s hand shot to the sheath on his back, before he remembered the absence of his weapons.
“How many years has it been since a mortal has provided me some entertainment before it dies? Must be several hundred. So many humans are so regrettably slow.”
The white light pouring from the blade widened, revealing dozens of sets of bleached bones, lying here and there on the cavern floor. Adil barely noticed the change, still gaping at the sight before him. He collapsed to his knees, bowing his head.
“Please ancient one. Teach me your ways. I must achieve such perfection such as this.” He pleaded, not daring to look up. There was a long, pregnant pause.
“You….you think to learn the art of blacksmithing from me?" The voice boomed; the previous tone of boredom replaced by a hint of morbid curiosity. "Many have come here, but mostly they came to slay an ancient evil, or to steal some ancient artifact of power from a time long lost. Not one thought a whit more of this blade then the power it would bring them. Yet yours is by far the most arrogant request."
The light darkened, reverting to a sooty red like the glow of a hooded lantern. Swirls of darkness resolved itself into a tall horned figure, dozens of swords belted on its back and waist. It reached down with a clawed hand, forcing Adil’s head up and examining him closely with six red eyes, looking for something. The demon clicked its fingers and a half-sheared blade leapt from the spot where Adil had fallen, flying into the figure’s palm. It examined it closely, clucking its tongue disapprovingly before crushing it to powder.
“Shoddy craftmanship, poor technique. Although I will admit quite skilled for a low being such as yourself.” The demon muttered, almost to itself as it stared down at the prostrated Adil for several tense seconds. “….Fine, it irks me to see such a stain as yourself go uncorrected. I will instruct you to a basic level of competence, although I will not be gentle. Many have died under my tutelage, others have suffered far grimmer fates. Are you willing to brave the pain, or would you rather remain among the tomb of the dead.”
Adil simply smirked, and rose to his feet, only for the expression to morph to agony as the demon shoved the radiant blade into his hands. Magic power poured from the swords, flowing into Adil's veins like a river of magma. The young smith screamed and fell twitching to the ground, steam rising from his pores and nostrils. The demon snorted, retrieving the blade and boiling off Adil's fingerprints with a surge of magical energy.
"Now to see if he survives the first test."

OOC Name: Whiskey Slayer Position Desired: Earth God Slayer RP Sample: He drives his fist like he's in a fight for survival, uneven hitch of his breathing indication enough that he's just as close to falling as leaves from autumn trees; the skin of his fist breaks open, and he curses like the words leaving his mouth are sacred. The ground shifts beneath his feet, tendrils of black like corrupted veins seeping through the earth, branches of shadow rendering all that would give life barren. The wind is cold and cutting; it leaves him tattered as the fabric yet clinging to his skin in loose, white shreds.
He tells himself it's not his fault, but the guilt weighs heavy on his conscience as black clouds above are with rain. His blood seeps into the roughened bark of the ancient elm— it blackens the wood, strips it of life— burns it away in a manner only a monster could. In futility he tries to calm his racing heart, but such is an impossible feat when you're dancing to the devil's tempo. Deep breaths, deep breaths— but he catches the stale stench of dead earth mingling with the fruit of human decomposition, and it takes all remaining strength not to retch. It's not his fault.
Stay away. Stay away from me. Forgive me. This was not what I wanted... What I asked for was-
He warned them. So brave with their torches and pitchforks. Fire from their fingertips poised to slay the demon in their crops. He could not blame them; the devil is the devil, however innocent. He winces, sweet corruption seeping from the cut of a blade in his calf. It rendered what green he passed over barren, and he left a trail of withered grass wheresoever he turned.
A bright flash of lightning breaks across the sky; a murder of crows beat their wings against the treetops as they fly into dusk. Dismal darkness wraps around him in cold embrace: where he belonged, far from those who would wound him for his magic alone.
Thunder purrs into resonance, it shakes the atmosphere, and the thick air stinks of the coming rain.
By the morning he is gone: the demon in the town's crops vanquished through great sacrifice, and becomes another story to keep children from wandering into the forest in the hours of waning sunlight.

OOC Name: Shinzy Slayer Position Desired: Corpse (Ash) Devil Slayer RP Sample:
Shinzu, the frail bodied child, crawled along the grey landscape on all fours like a wounded canine. Drab and dreary, with pale skin, he didn’t particularly stand out against the grey. He’d go unnoticed, unseen, if not for his dry light blue hair creating a stark contrast against the backdrop. “Who are you…” He meant to say. Starved and dehydrated, the words dangled against the tip of his dry and cracked tongue, only to fail upon reaching his chapped and sore lips.
Blinking, a slow and lifeless action, Shinzu glanced up with cobalt blue eyes that seemed to carry no light or brightness to them despite their unique hue. Meeting with the winged towering figure, the frail child simply blinked again. Slowly. Robotically. “Who… Are you…” He mouthed, unable to form more than an inaudible whisper as air caught against the back of his throat and sent him into a coughing fit. A pathetic display in front of one much more powerful than him.
“Why…” He mouthed, as his pale bony fingers clutched against a small mound of ash underneath his right hand. Clutching, he felt the rough texture grating and grinding against his skin, as if it were sandpaper. “W..Hy…” He attempted to mouth again, only to break out into another coughing fit mid-sentence. He was spent. All life drained from him. Though, he was luckier than the others. The others were now the air. The ground he crawled around on. The ash.
“Why… Did you… kill them?” Shinzu asked feebly, while pulling his neck up just high enough to meet with the towering grey figure’s gaze. He had thought he had failed to form the words. However, the figure twisted its head in confusion, as if it had heard, only to now be contemplating. It wasn’t unusual for Shinzu to have to bear with the neck pain needed lock eyes with an adult. However, this figure wasn’t just tall. He was gargantuan, with elongated arms taller than the tallest of the villagers he had once known. Not that it mattered. As ash, he had now become the tallest of his kin.
“Why…” He pleaded, rather than asking as tears began to stream down his face. The demon, the grey demon, twisted its head in the other direction as if still contemplating the meaning behind a mere child’s words. “Da..mn… it…” He whimpered, as tiny flecks of ash scattered along the air began to assault his tears and moist eyes. Rubbing harshly, his pupils quickly became red and inflamed at the never-ending embrace of the countless ash particles raining down on him as innocently as snow. “I… Hate you… I hate… The ash…” He managed to say, before clasping both palms over his eyes to shield himself from any further pain. He didn’t notice at that point. He couldn’t notice, the great big smile, slowly forming on the demon’s face.

OOC Name: Sho Slayer Position Desired: Ice Dragon Slayer RP Sample:
Sapientia ex Fafnir
“Again.”
“Again.”
“Again!”
Glacio obeyed as his adoptive father's loud commands from where he towered over the teenager, pushing himself to perform better with the Lost Magic he was drilled into doing day-in and day-out ever since Fafnir had taken him in after nursing him back to health when he was but a child on the brink of freezing to death on the side of Mt. Hakobe almost a full decade ago. With one last swift movement, the bluenette swung his arm underhand with an open palm like he was slapping an opponent with a wing; resulting in a very sizable gust of arctic wind that would instantly solidify into large stalagmite pillars of ice that would be connected to the ice floor of Fafnir's cave and impale the side of the frozen cave at a diagonal angle.
Mastering this feat was nothing to scoff at because it had taken seven times just to execute correctly without sending large needles of ice into the wall like several combat spears, something like that wouldn't do in Fafnir's frozen abode. To call it a cave would be quite insulting because it was architecturally a gigantic ice palace located deep inside of the mountain and crystalline clusters of ice in various sizes naturally grew out of the floor and walls like a natural ore, which was also the natural food and magic source for Fafnir and Glacio. Speaking of the teenager, he was thoroughly exhausted to the point that his normally human body was already showing patches of frost with snow white scales on his cheeks, neck, and arms in addition to elongated fangs and vertical pupils while he panted heavily and took a knee. "HA HA HA!!! That's my boy! Come, it's time for your supper. I'm very proud of how far you've progressed today, my son." Fafnir roared heartily as he led Glacio to a chamber where nearly uncountable deposits of ice crystals were, and the boy started to stuff his face with the equivalent of three pounds of ice before he reverted back to his human form. "Thank you...father." Glacio replied softly in response to his boisterous father. He was really happy that his father was proud of him because Fafnir was a very stoic dragon and a very hard teacher over the years, but he knew his father loved him and appreciated his praise.
"Have you decided what you want to use your magic for my son? Fafnir gently inquired of Glacio after he had his fill, a gentleness that was infrequent with the Ice Dragon's usual disposition. "I want to use it to do a lot of good for the people, even though I just know of the mountain..." Glacio replied immediately with conviction before trailing off and was cut off-guard from a deep chuckle emanating from his father. "In that case, you should start out by registering with a Guild, but there is something in your room I left for you that I want you to have before you leave. And remember Glacio, this will always be your home and always trust in your feelings. Fafnir said to Glacio before the bluenette stood back up and hesitated for a moment before hugging the dragon that raised him and hurrying to his room.
Once he was in his bedroom fit for a prince, he noticed an oddly shaped sword of some sort laid neatly on his bed, made with the finest steel he had ever seen along with a noticeable groove and disk-shaped divots that seemed to give it the appearance of an oversized key. A key? Now that he thought about it, there was a vault that he knew his father kept his entire horde of treasure stored. So then, was he bequeathed the key to his father's vault? He figured the only way to find out was to use it on the slot on the face of the vault.
After making his way to the vault, he inserted this...Keyblade...into the vault lock and the key started to turn the lock on its own and the doors to the treasure room slowly swung open entirely before he stepped inside and was overwhelmed by the sea of treasure before him, but he ended up walking up to a chest that set on its own platform and opened it to find a brand new set of clothing that he then changed into. It was a lot nicer than the animal skins he used to wear and he particularly liked the plaid pattern on the pants and jacket. All together, it was a perfect fit and he thought it must go with the sword that was left for him. Finally, he found there was a custom miniature Lacrima device that already had a route charted to a place called Shirotsume Town. Now that he had a general direction to where he was now headed, the Ice Dragon Slayer exited the Treasure Room and locked that vault again before removing the key and departing for this new place beyond the tundra he had spent so much of his life in already. He was a Mage, a powerful one of that, but what he needed the most now were new friends to go on adventures with to explore this vast world beyond the mountain that he called home.

OOC Name: Starnaess Slayer Position Desired: Armor Devil-Slayer RP Sample:
I jumped out of the cart, i had finally arrived or so i thought. Looking around only revealed an empty landscape, filled with death and despair. It must've been a farm for there were fields with burned crops ,ash and that sort of smoke that still clings to the earth after many hours of being ablaze giving it an eary look. A somewhat broken down windmill to my right that regardless of it all kept spinning. I jumped down only to be met by the squishing sound my boots made - i always hated mud. "Im sorry, son - this is as far as i can take you! And i only took you this far because of how much you paid me, but ill be damned if i take another step forward!" said the man leading the cart with sweat dripping down from his forehead all the way onto his long black mustaches - he was clearly scared and who could blame him.
After he took off i was alone, like always - fixing other people's problems by myself, but never my own - no , they were too scary and i would've rather jumped into an endless pit of blood and death rather than face them - i did not want to , not yet - im not ready , i dont... The thoughts that were taking me to a dark place were interrupted by a scream that regardless of how much pain was infused into that frail and girly voice - it had saved me from entering a downward spiral of mental despair and agony - distraction, yes i needed it , i craved it - anything in order to forget. One step forward and all the pain was gone , my mind was clear - the excitement was growing - my pace increased , the wind on my face as i ran towards the voice. My hand sliding down onto the sword on my hip gripping it tightly.
The ground below me did not feel like one - beside the fact that it was uneven being a field that had just been partially reaped - each step crushed something, i was glad when the things i was crushing were fruits , less when they were bones or body parts. Arriving at the end of the field i slowed down my pace - using the smoke as my cover and hide behind a wall just outside of it. With every breath that i took my lungs filled with foul substaces, decomposed , rotten , dead. They were near , rising my head just enough allowed me to see them. Three men taking advantage of a recent monster invasion that had completly ruined the farm. One of them, the tallest one with a belly bulging out clearly made by drunking too much beer - he was holding a woman by her crimson hair , a smile on his face while she kept crying and begging for help. "No one is coming for you darling " a sinister and vicious smile followed mixed in with a cry of despair. The other two laughed as well - they felt like kings.
I had been paid in advance from the local town to check out what was happening at the farm - nobody had sat foot here since the monster had ravaged it ,beside brigands of course. "Cowards" i thought as i waited for the three of them to be completly focused on the girl - hitting her ,laughing at her , insulting her. I had to wait, hoping that the girl would survive long enough for me to act. "Just a few more seconds..just a few more..." i whispered as the tall one was about to strike her once more. It was time. A single step to my right followed by a dash allowed me to get behind him while the others were too distracted. My sword sliced off his arm off his body. The hand still attatched to the girl's hair kept clinging to it as the distance between the arm and the man grew for he kept screaming , the blood kept spraying all over the place and the men fell onto the ground crowling backwards. The other two were too slow too react. They wore no armor, and their weapons were still sheathed.
Their bodies dropped quickly, A single stab each was enough to pierce their throats preventing them from screaming - i watched as they gasped for air, not being able to catch it regardless of how hard they tried. If one had caught my gaze right there and then and then if he were to be asked who the good guy was - he would've not been able to answer. A smile creeped in onto my face, my dark side getting out more than i had wanted , but it felt so sweet i wanted more,i need to torture the last one i want to murder them all, i will kill everyo....I snapped back to reality after the armless man threw a rock at me making my cheek bleed "Go away monster!" he screamed in terror - i must've stared at the other two dying for way too long.
"Sorry, i did not mean to." I said as i walked towards the man who was too scared to even move - ending his life in one swing. The girl was still there, the hand still attatched to her hair for she was unable to get rid of it. I sheathed my sword as i turned towards her "it's ok , dont be afraid". She screamed louder than she had before as she stood up and started to run away from me.

OOC Name: Starnaess Slayer Position Desired: Armor Devil-Slayer RP Sample: It was a moonless night, the many clouds deprived my eyes from catching even a glimpse it's beautiful sight, when I was younger, I had always loved to stare at it, for some reason it calmed me even when my mind wandered to dark places. "Open the gates! The hunter has arrived!" said the guard on top of a wooden tower behind a thick wooden wall five time the size of a normal human being. I wore nothing more than normal looking clothes; I did not need any extra protection after all. Sadly enough, these were clothes that I had bought earlier this morning and now they were completely ruined and bloodied, my face covered in it as well with the occasional drip that fell from my blonde hair. My right hand was holding some sort of mutated dire wolf by its snapped neck. The carcass dragging through the ground leaving a rather visible trail. Once the doors opened, they revealed a stone paved street, a rather dirty one at that, with four guards to welcome me - two on each side and all of them wearing the city's emblem onto their metal armor with swords on their hips. They could not see from all the way up the tower in what kind conditions i was in, the darkness had shielded their faces from morphing into ones overwhelmed with disgust - at least up until now - that was the sort of job I was in , monster hunting paid well but i would not call it the cleanest of jobs. "Why are you helping them...they only see you as a tool..." said the voice. While a cool breeze hit me from behind sweeping off the bad odor from me and towards the guards, it also moved the clouds finally setting the moon free from their grasp - shining upon me and my furry victim. As it hit me it, the skin that was being shown through the ruined clothes as well as my hands would shine far too much for it to be just skin - while to me it looked perfectly normal, to the guard's eyes it must've felt like armor scales were covering me mixed in together to form some sort of natural armor. "My name is Gwyn and I came to collect my reward for killing this." I said with authority as I threw the dire wolf's carcass at the guard's feet with ease.
However, after one of them had tried to lift it up he immediately realized that my strength was not something normal. In fact, it would take all them to lift the monster up and the mere sight of their weakness made me giggle a little. "Are ...are you sure you got rid of them all?" said one of the guards as they tried their best to move the carcass away from the entrance as quickly as possible. "No, not yet" I said as my smile widened turning into something vicious and evil - after all in order to do that I needed more live bait. "Yes...Hunt the humans...hunt them all..." said the voice. Howling coming from the forest filled the air with fear and terror and since the gates were wide open it revealed a path towards a bountiful meal. Three black furry and rather large dire wolves dashed out of the forest at full speed - towards the entrance, passing right next to me but completely ignoring me. At that precise moment, time seemed to slow down considerably my mind felt completely blank. Cold dead eyes looked at the guards unsheathing their swords, for some reason all sounds were muffled but I could clearly tell they were afraid, asking for my help as they formed a rudimental line acting as the only live barrier between the monsters and the villagers. In that moment i wanted to watch as the monsters devoured them all - I wanted to savor their deaths like a kid does with ice cream, eating it slow to make it last - "PLEASE! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HELP US! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS...!" said one of the guards, but a voice much louder filled my head and tried its best to control me "Good? You are not good, watch them die! Fill your heart and soul with their screams of despair! Let me take over...let me free..." As one of the wolves was about to maul down one of the guards that had not managed to stand his ground and deflect the rush attack I snapped back to reality. "For how long was I asleep...?" I muttered while trying to understand where I was and what was happening. The moment I realized people were being attacked I jumped forward while the ground below me cracked leaving my footprints forever etched into it. My right fist started to shine with at first a faint yet visible light that covered its entirety making it look as if light was being shone upon very polished armor. Some sort of gauntlet appeared made out of scales that felt like mercury rather than actual steel. I punched onto the wolf's side pushing it away with so much force that it propelled the monster against the wall, this would turn the guard's role upside down, from victim to assailant - allowing him to kill the wolf with his sword. Since i was facing the wolf that had just died, my back was turned away from the two still alive, and it was in that moment they decided to use this chance to take out what they had considered to be an easy prey...big mistake. As the two jumped onto my back I stood still, their teeth biting down onto my shoulders, their whole weight pushing on me - how silly. After biting down a couple of times they quickly realized that biting me felt like trying to bite onto a stone wall, their teeth grinding on a surface too dense to be pierced. Even though their muscled tried their best to push me down, stretching and contracting rapidly, strenuously - they simply could not move me, and as they pulled back it would reveal the entirety of my skin for the few remaining pieces of clothes had been completely ripped out. With the moon now completely freed, it revealed me for who I truly was - not a simple hunter - but the armor devil-slayer. But at the same time, it revealed just how weak I truly was. The guards rejoiced that they were still alive and they had managed to kill the beasts while I felt an incredible sadness well up inside of me. I was not strong enough to contain the darkness inside of me...not yet...

OOC Name: pxl (Pronounced Pixel)
Slayer Position Desired: Iron Devil Slayer
RP Sample:
Lucian let out a sigh as he stepped out of the now destroyed bar of a small town. He looked around, trying to figure out who it was who destroyed the bar he was in. In the corner of his eye over to the right, he saw a man, about average build, trying to hide by mixing in with the crowd. Annoyed, Lucian launched himself up from the ground using his magic, Iron Devil Slayer Magic, which had surprised the crowd, causing them to kind of disperse, leaving the man who had caused the damage to be singled out. What had surprised the crowd wasn't really that he had launched himself into the sky, it was the fact the iron that he had used to launch himself up was red colored with a white hue to it, giving it an abnormal color. This color was common with devil slayers, though he didn't know why. As he was now falling towards the man, he began to remember how he obtained this mysterious magic.
It was about 14 years ago, Lucian was 12 years old and homeless, mostly due to the fact he had no parents. He survived mostly on scraps he found while out and about. One day, he had stumbled across this man, who he remembered as being about 6 foot tall, long silver hair that was pulled back into a ponytail, with two tufts of hair on the sides that went down to his shoulders. He had a scar over his right eye in three spots, he must have been attacked by some kind of wolf, or maybe some magic animal out there in the wilderness. He had no idea who the man was, but for some reason, the man took an interest in him. He grabbed him by the arm and pulled him over to the side and told him he'd feed him and teach him how to do magic, read and write, and do anything a kid his age should be able to do. Lucian was confused by this as nobody had taken an interest in him before, why would this random man take an interest in him now?
After a few days, Lucian, now cleaned, and learning the basics for reading and writing, went into town to buy some groceries for the man who was now raising him. It was just a simple list, a few apples, bread, and cheese. He could easily get that. It took a bit of searching but he had found the bread and cheese, but the apples, he couldn't find easily, he had to go to a farm nearby to ask the owners if he could pick some of their apples. Along the way he saw kids walking with their parents, laughing and swinging from their arms, talking about what they'd do the next day. Lucian wanted a life like that but he knew he likely wouldn't. He pushed the thought away and went on to the farm, finding the owners rather quickly. He had asked if they had any apples and if he could pick any if they didn't have any they could give him. Because of his small size at the time, they took pity on him and gave him a basket of apples, which he thanked them for repeatedly before the told him to get home.
Within an hour, he was home and bringing the food to his teacher, who was at his desk writing what looked like some spells. He put them away, took the bread and cheese, and told Lucian to place the basket on the table in the other room. He quickly did so and then came back to his teacher. "Are you going to teach me more magic?" He asked, somewhat excited. His teacher shook his head, almost laughing. Then he grabbed his arm and took him to the training room in the basement. He stood Lucian in the middle of the room and went and stood himself in one of the corners behind him. "Now Lucian" He said. "Most of the spells you'll learn are ones you'll learn on your own, I've already taught you how to use the Iron Devils Rage, and Iron Devil Excalibur Blade" He had his arms crossed across his chest and kept an eye on Lucian. "Just keep practicing those two spells and perfect them and you'll learn your own spells" Lucian sighed as he drew in a large breath, causing him to lean back somewhat. He stopped a bit, closing his eyes as he rushed his body forward a bit and let out a loud yell, creating a large gritty wind to come out of his body. The spell was like a whirlwind, with bits of iron mixed in, red and white in color. As the spell began to disappear, Lucians flashback faded back to the town with the destroyed bar. "Hmm...Haven't thought about those times in years" He thought to himself. On the ground in front of him was the man who destroyed the bar, a couple of knots on his head, and red/white colored iron wrapped around his body. "I hope someone comes and gets him because I'm not staying here for long" He said loudly. He kicked the guy over a bit, causing him to roll over in the opposite direction down a hill into the busier part of the town. "I'm done here" He said to himself as he put his hands into his pockets and headed towards the town exit.
(I hope I did this ok, friend said it seemed to be ok, I'll edit anything needed)
