It was an early morning on the streets of Crocus, the sun just starting to peek over the tall buildings to shine its light on the cobbled paths below. But even in the shade of the early morning, Crocus was bustling, its many streets and roads filled to bursting with people, as was to be expected of the largest, grandest city in all of Fiore. People from all walks of life, be they mages or not, be they rich or poor, made these streets their home.
And Aurelio was no different, dressed in his official Rune Knight uniform, long blond hair drawn back into a pony tail, giving him the slightest look of authority that would be immediately undermined when one saw his youthful face, brimming with upbeat gaiety, up bring and early, beaming like the sun. His heart was light, despite the matter at hand being dull to anyone else but the young Rune Knight: Aurelio was put in charge of the day's recruitment drive. The Rune Knights were always looking to bolster their ranks, despite their already plentiful numbers, so it was not uncommon to see folding tables on the side of the streets, adorned with the banners of the Rune Knights, stacked with pamphlets advertising the exciting career of a Rune Knight, and always manned by a Rune Knight in proper uniform.
And that duty fell to Aurelio today. So sat the young Slayer, dressed all proper like, his hands folded in front of him, waiting with pamphlets in arm's reach, his smiling fice ready to greet anybody who approached, his eager eyes trained on any passerby that came close to the booth.

A moment alone With the unbeknown, reset the world, imagine home. A primal need to touch the stars, only way there to enter In between one of his missions, Siegfried stopped by the Flower Booming Capital, the pride of the Kingdom of Fiore. It wasn't common for the mage to come to the capital city, but he always did enjoy how lively and stunning it was. The city itself was impressive, and it really did earth its epithet of Flower Blooming Capital thanks to the limitless amount of flowers adorning the streets, with flowerbeds being placed everywhere, and garlands of flowers appearing as one of the town's most prominent souvenirs. The tall, imposing buildings with their bright facades and pointy towers prompted people to walk with their heads up, marveled at the wonders mankind was capable of. Interestingly enough, those eye-catching wonders of architecture mingled almost perfectly with the heartwarming stone tile streets that, at first glance, might seem pretty basic, but they were carefully placed and gave the city an welcoming vibe as well. "I ought come here more often! Seriously, it is always such a blast!" the man spoke to himself as he casually strolled through the streets of the Flower Blooming Capital, with his hands resting in the pockets of his pants. Siegfried was a tall, well-built figure who would stand out in a crowd quite naturally, but his body language was so casual, that it contrasted with a first impression he might give out. As he walked near downtown, he caught a glimpse of something interesting with the corner of his eyes: a recruiting stand for the Rune Knights, the official military power of the Kingdom. Some would be as bold as to claim that they were - as an organization - as powerful as a guild, but Siegfried saw such bold claim as quite the overstatement; he respected the organization, don't get the wrong idea, but he saw them as more of a glorified guard than a power to be recognized. There was but one boy - and boy was a good way to describe the knight - standing there. From his clothing, a long, high-collared, sleeveless dark robe over a light shirt with wide sleeves ending below the elbows, where they are circled by thin bands, it showed that he was but a common knight, which was a very odd choice for a recruitment stand. Considering you want to attract and impress people enough to compel them to join the ranks, it was only natural to expect a more senior official to also be there, but alas, it was just the boy. Maybe that was the reason that made Siegfried walk towards it; he was a curious cat after all, but not even him knew why he went there and - before he even realized - he had taken one of the pamphlets from the stand and read about the exciting adventures they promised their recruits with. "Ha! Good one! Whoever made this did a helluva good job, my lad! It almost convinced me that being a knight is exciting!" he teased the boy with a large, yet kind smile.

Excitement, passion, anticipation! Ah, Topaz could just simply not keep her elated emotions in check! The fox-eared, somewhat-more-red-haired-than-brunette girl seemed to prance around from spot to spot, helping out with the decorative side of the knightly recruitment fair. Her own stand was adorned with beautiful daisies and roses she'd planted herself within the vast gardens of Crocus. It definitely appeared more... overzealous than perhaps one of the other tables around. Topaz couldn't help herself however; she wanted to do anything to meet new mages and aid with the recruitment of new members to the Rune Knights. Despite being a bit on the timid side at times, she truly did enjoy meeting new folks, if not befriending them. [break][break]
Many people walked by, either taking a quick glance or even a flyer if they were really intrigued by the matter. Regardless, Topaz waved at all of them with a jubilant smile across her lips. As her amber-colored eyes gazed two and fro, she did catch sight of a face. A little ways down, there was another recruitment stand that house a blond-haired boy. Topaz squinted. She could have sworn she'd seen his face before! [break][break]
She glanced left and right. She wasn't to leave her spot here but she doubted that a quick minute would not get her into any trouble. The most her superiors could do was give her a brief chastizing, right? With her mind set, she put her plan into motion. Topaz walked over casually and rose a friendly hand to give a wave. [break][break]
Another man, also blond, was there too. Topaz heard his statement but only perceived it as a compliment. She nodded and clasped her hands together with excitement, "It's cool, isn't it! We all worked very hard on these pamphlets!" The Beastwoman chimed. "A Rune Knight's job is very exciting! And fulfilling, too. You should consider it if you ever have spare time!" [break][break]
Her focus shifted to the boy he was overseeing the stand. Another Rune Knight.
"Hmm, aren't you Argentus', son?" Topaz asked, seeing the resemblance in this boy's face to the old Division Commander. Argentus had been pretty distinguished and she'd heard tales of his excellent work for the Rune Knights. She grinned, "If so, it's really nice to meet you! I wouldn't have ever thought I'd get to meet his son here!"

It was not long before Aurelio had managed to reed not one, but two different onlookers in to see him! The first was an older wizard who seemed the jovial sort-- well meaning and full of sunshine, not unlike Aurelio himself. The young Rune Knight gave him a broad smile as he approached, nodding enthusiastically as the man spoke his compliments. The young Rune Knight was indeed proud of the work he and others had done on the booth, so it made his heart light to hear an outsider speak well of it.
The second was, as it turned out, a fellow Rune Knight and, apparently, one who knew his adopted father, Argentus. A pretty girl, by any rights, and Aurelio blushed for a moment as she directed her question towards him.
"Ah, y-yes," said Aurelio, "Commander Argentus is my father. I'm Aurelio Blanc, nice to meet you, nice to meet you both, in fact!"
Aurelio stared at her face a moment longer. . . her bestial features seemed familiar. Perhaps he might have seen her around headquarters before? They were a numerous bunch, the Rune Knights, and it was near on impossible for a fresh recruit like Aurelio to have memorized every face. But he quickly turned his face back on the newcomer. A potential recruit? The young Slayer's heart was pounding in anticipation.
"And being a knight is very exciting, sir!" said Aurelio, his voice full of barely contained elation, smile wide from shining blue eye to eye, "You get to travel all over and protect people and really make a difference in the world! Why just the other day, I was in Akane and put a stop to some illegal magical trinket trade. . ."
The boy was rambling now, clearly enthused about his job, eager to impress the newcomer by regaling him with tales of the Rune Knights.

A primal need to touch the stars, only way there to enter Shortly before Siegfried addressed the boy, an alluring scarlet figure approached the very same stand, and Siegfried couldn't help himself but to notice her, but he didn't say anything, he just smiled and briefly nodded his head in a polite way, as a contained greeting to this welcomed stranger. The lady spoke to the boy knight and it was clear that there was some familiarity between them, or at the very least she acknowledge who he was. The blond kid confirmed his identity and gave out his name and the man took a mental note of that, widening his smile due to witnessing such a friendly conversation. Those two figures seemed like really nice people and he was glad that those people were part of the law enforcement of the Kingdom; it filled the man with hope for better days and an even better future. Shortly after their moment of interaction, the scarlet lass turned to Siegfried and shared her thoughts on the pamphlets, revealing she also worked on them, which just served to confirm her position as a Rune Knight as well. Shortly after that came the subtle invitation to join such an exciting life serving the kingdom in a more direct way, to which the boy added his own two cents. Travelling the world, helping people out, making a difference. When he put it like that, it didn't seem all that different from what a mage from a guild would do and he liked the enthusiasm and principles that those two seemed to uphold. His light blue eyes glowed with such uplifting excitement and he could barely contain his energetic personality at this point. "Alas, that seems really exciting indeed, but I suppose my life provides with similar thrills and satisfaction, for I am a member of Fairy Tail!" he winked, giving them a big thumbs up. Then, Siegfried chuckled a bit and shook his head. "I'm almost embarrassed to be honest. I kinda approached the stand to playfully tease you, laddy... But seeing the flames of your passion... And in you too, lass... It is inspiring and satisfying. I'm glad our Kingdom can have such hopeful and righteous soldiers in their ranks." he admitted with a firm nod and a confident smile. The man pointed his thumb to his own chest and poked it twice. "Name is Siegfried! It is a pleasure to be made your acquaintances. I mean it from the bottom of my heart!" his words were kind and he had an honest vibe about him.

She knew it! Topaz grinned brightly, excited that she had guessed right. 'Aurelio' -- the boy's name she now recalled thanks to his explanation -- may have not been biologically related to the esteemed Commander, but he seemed to wear that same determined expression as Argentus. The fox-eared maiden was glad to have come across him. Not unlike him, Topaz was also new to the whole Rune Knight gig. She had much to prove, however. She wished for nothing more but to show how helpful she could be as a skilled mage. She clasped her hands together and said, "It's an honor to meet you! I'm Topaz Taevas." [break][break]
Her attention turned back to the man who'd ambled over to the stand. Topaz's amber eyes blinked curiously. He had been teasing? The young lady blushed; it had totally gone over her head- or perhaps her ears! At least the man commended the two's enthusiasm. It was a nice surprise to hear he was affiliated with Fairy Tail, though. Topaz had family members who were such. [break][break]
"It's a pleasure to meet you too," She replied, bowing her head. "But, say, if you're already affiliated with a Guild, what caught your interest in these recruitment stands?" Topaz questioned, tilting her head to the side inquisitive. [break][break]
Her ears perked. "C-Could it have been the decorations?!" Topaz exclaimed with glee like a little child. She'd worked quite hard on them, after all.

As it turned out, the man was already affiliated with a guild, the well-known adventuring group: Fairy Tail. Quite the illustrious guild these days, Aurelio noted, the sort that earned the recognition of the Magic Council as being upstanding members of the magical community, the sort of just individuals who were only second to the Rune Knights themselves.
But still, the man's good cheer continued and Aurelio could not help but feel that good spirit spreading even further into himself, the mood at the table light despite the disappointment. Even now, as the man confessed his intent, Aurelio still felt as sunny as a cloudless day. This newly revealed Siegfried-- and his Rune Knight comrade, Topaz-- had certainly made for an interesting start to his recruitment drive.
"Ah, Fairy Tail?" asked Aurelio, "You must have quite the litany of accomplishments as well! Model guilds like your own really only make our job better, when you get down to it, and do a lot to bolster our peaceful way of life here in Fiore."
But still, something teased at the back of Aurelio's mind: "So, mister Siegfried, are you in Crocus on business? Because I thought Fairy Tail were based out of Magnolia! Unless you came all this way just to tease us knights. . ."
Aurelio flashed a wide smile as he spoke, finishing his sentence with a laugh.
