At first, Siegfried may look like an arrogant prick. He talks loudly and he is quite energetic most of the time, and doesn't really measure his words. He has a very competitive nature, and when he hears someone bragging about something in a bad way, he will try to outshine them with his own accomplishments as his way to teach them a lesson. He abhors the notion of defeat and the possibility of it is enough to make him go the extra mile and aim to reach beyond his own limits, as well as push those around him to the same path of effort. Hard worker is a defining trait in his character; he believes nothing that comes easy is worthy or true and instead feels anything that holds any value in life needs to be conquered by blood, sweat and tears. Those traits can lead him to be abrasive at times, which ends up irritating a lot of people, who then decide not to deepen the relationship, and thus only get to know the surface of the man.
But to those who are able to go beyond the first impressions, they will realize he is a kind and considerate man. One who would take the food out of his table to give to those in need, one who would not falter before adversity and who would face dangers if for the greater good of the people of his guild and kingdom. He firmly believed everyone who has the drive is capable of accomplishing the same goals. And he is always willing to help this kind of people. He also firmly believed the strong have the duty to protect the weak; this is the only way they can repay the gift of strength. But unlike many who expects gratitude and servitude in return, the only thing he expects is that people will return the kindness to others.
Loyal to the bone, once you gain his trust, he will be there for you, come hell or high-water, as those bonds are sacred and not easily broken in his heart. To those who earn a spot in his hardened, yet tender heart, they are allowed to see a much softer side of him. They can see a Siegfried who laughs and enjoy sitting by the fire with a generous cup of ale on his hand, who likes to sing and tell jokes and has the largest of the smiles. He has a soft spot for children, especially those who lack a fatherly figure and for single mothers – he can relate to them on a personal level.
Although he is quite the fighter, he is also smart and love to study history. Ancient civilization, archaeology sites and rare books are things he cannot resist, and he can even act a bit silly around a rare find, almost like a child in a candy store.
HISTORY
The Kresnik family had quite the good reputation in Fiore. They were honourable mages who helped their country and their people. They selflessness in defending others was part of the reason their numbers were never great, as many of their kin fell in battle, but they carried their history with pride. However, the Kresnik name was thrown to the mud, tainting all the sacrifice of all the previous generations when Lennart Kresnik, a mage who was considered to be almost on pair with the Ten Wizard Saints betrayed everything and abandoned his own country to become a lackey of the Alvarez Empire. He left behind not only his pride and his family's honour, but also his own wife and two children. His motivations were never truly discovered, and the sudden way in which he left everything behind bred quite the hatred towards the Kresnik, who then began to live in a state of disgrace.
Ella, now a single mother of two young children, struggled a lot to raise the young Siegfried and the baby Freya. They lost their wealth, their estate and had to move to the city of Magnolia, where they could at least forget about the shame brought upon them. Ella was an average skilled mage, and she couldn't really get a lot of the high paying missions. On top of it all, she was part of a very small guild - the only one which would take her - and because of that, Siegfried, who was only five years old when his father left, knew he had to take some responsibility and help take care of his family.
The boy was quite driven and seeing firsthand just how hard-working his mother was, knowing his baby sister needed all the help she could get, he began researching and studying in order to be able to become a mage as well; a powerful one who would be able to take care of his family, and also everyone else who was in need.
But life was hard and unforgiving. No matter how hard he tried, he was still too young, and without a master to guide him, his efforts seemed to be in vain. Being poor and without a fatherly figure, he suffered plenty of bully from other kids, and although at the time he hated them, this helped him develop a sense of justice that would guide his path in the future, for he did not want to live in a world where the strong preyed upon the weak. Rather, he wanted to help create a world where the strong took responsibility and protected the weak, so they could also thrive and enjoy what the world had to offer.
As his mother was constantly away on her missions, he became some sort of fatherly figure to his younger sister, despite only being five years older than her, and she shared a similar passion and goal as her elder brother. Together, they managed to overcome some of the obstacles their condition imposed on them, and they began to develop their magical abilities slowly, but steadily.
Things were improving. While he wasn't skilled enough to be a mage, Siegfried was a tall, well-built boy even at a young age, and he helped his household by working in construction, which helped developing his physical capabilities. However, misery would once again strike his life, when his mother's guild was eradicated in a conflict with a Dark Guild. Siegfried was only fourteen years-old when that happened and he fell into an intense depression, doubting he would be able to take care of Freya or even become someone who could protect others. Unable to pay his bills, the two siblings became homeless and could barely afford food with Siegfried's work.
When things seemed to be completely dark, a man saw the boy studying an old book about magic and he was intrigued by him. For a whole month, this man would come, bring some food and talk to Siegfried, asking about his life. At first, Siegfried was quite suspicious of this old man, but with time he grew to become fond of him and to trust him. At the end of this month, the man offered him a choice: he could continue to live his life as it was, or he could come with him and study to become a powerful mage. Siegfried was tempted by the offer, but he was concerned about his sister. The old man, who then introduced himself as Haggard, assured him she would be taken care of, but that he wouldn't be able to see her for quite some time.
With his heart in pain, he took on the offer, bid farewell to Freya and left with Haggard.
The training was savage, and at times, Siegfried wondered if he would survive that. But during this time, he also enjoyed life a bit more. He grew fond of a girl named Vanadis, Haggard's granddaughter, who was only about two years older than him and also a mage. During his training, he showed an aptitude to a rare type of magic known as the Heavenly Body Magic, and with proper guidance, he quickly developed his skills. As the years passed, he wondered how his sister was doing, and they would write letters to each other from time to time, so he knew she was alright, but the subject was quite limited, as he was not allowed to talk about his training.
A rivalry was developed between Siegfried and Vanadis, toxic at first, friendly later, and after a few years, the two eventually fell in love and became lovers, but they decided not to disclose this relationship, as they feared Haggard would oppose it as he could see it as diverting their attention from their training.
For ten years, Siegfried lived a happy life in the countryside with his master and his secret lover, but as his training reached conclusion, he noticed that Vanadis was becoming different. He had become far more powerful than she was, and this created the seed of envy in her heart. She started to grow distant from him and he couldn't really understand why at first, until one faithful day: After going out for his first mission, Siegfried came back to a destroyed house. Haggard was laying on the ground, on his last breath. Shocked and angered, Siegfried held his master and asked what happened, but the man couldn't really speak anymore. He had a serious wound on his chest and once Siegfried got back into his senses, he recognized that magic.
His world fell apart as he realized that Vanadis likely killed her own grandfather. The man didn't really have a lot of time to think about what happened, because the moment he realized what was going on, he was already dodging an attack from the woman, who had a terrible evil aura around her. Her magic was way more powerful than before, but also deeply corrupted. As he confronted her, she raged, claiming that she could never accept him as better than her, and that she was betrayed by her grandfather, who taught him a better magic than hers. Siegfried tried to talk sense into her, but it was futile. The two clashed and their battled lasted the entire night.
At the end, Siegfried defeated Vanadis, but couldn't get himself to kill her and she fled. She left him with a terrible scar on his chest and a completely broken heart, but that was when he heard the spirit of Haggard, who used the last of his life force to give him a message. His deceased master told him to keep on pushing forward, to protect people and not give up on believing good would prevail. Lastly, he told him to search for a guild named Fairy Tail, which was the guild he used to be a part of on his younger days.
Motivated to honour his master and by the will to use his power to help the weak, Siegfried returned to Magnolia and asked to join Fairy Tail. After being tested and showing his abilities, he was accepted into the guild and branded with their mark. Knowing this was just the first step into becoming who he really wanted to be, he decided not to search for his sister yet. He knew she was okay, and he would see her soon enough, once he had proven himself to be someone who would never let his loved ones die again.

MAGIC
NAME: Heavenly Body Magic (天体魔法 Tentai Mahō).
TYPE: Caster/Holder.
RANK: B.
DESCRIPTION: It is a powerful form of Magic that allows the caster to use the properties of many astronomical objects for battle, preferably in offense. The properties of Heavenly Body Magic rely primarily on astronomical objects like meteors or the generation and manipulation of the energy of stars from their own body. The caster can create powerful light blasts or beams of high destructive power, reminiscent of starlight, at their opponents. This light is not the only substance used, however. The caster is also capable of using the power of gravity against the opponent for destructive usage; the strength can be comparable to the effects caused by a black hole. The use of such Magic can be used to enhance the caster's own skills drastically for various purposes, such as shrouding them in Magic that can increase their speed significantly.
DRAWBACKS: Overuse of his magic can cause his inner centre of gravity to become disrupted, which by consequence can cause mild to severe loss of balance and nausea. The use of heavenly magic can also blur his vision after extended uses, or even temporarily blind him in the most severe cases of abuse.
SPELLS:Place all spells related to your magic here. Characters get four free spells equal to their class at creation.
