Hi, hi! Just Braveo here. It might be worth considering having alternative skins onsite. If you're like me with contrast sensitivity, reading light text on a dark background can really hurt your eyes. I've learned to kind of manage with this since most sites have dark skin codes, but it is a little inconvenient.
There are some people who have it the opposite way, too. So, if it is possible, it'd be great to both have this current skin but also a lighter skin option we can choose from! That way, people can pick their preference.

"Airbound Terror!" [break][break]
The sound of an exclaimed spell resonated off of the walls of a small waterfall-side cavern. Furious winds began to pick up around the vicinity. Small debris like pebbles, shells, and other mundane cove material were swept away from their initial spots and sucked into a vortex of air. It was a strange sight. A girl with bright red hair towered over the area - her height having been elevated by the tornado she was now riding beneath her feet. [break][break]
Topaz smiled toothily from ear to ear. The spell had been a success! She was really flying now or at least was off the ground thanks to her mastery of this wind. "Finally, it worked!" She cheered, ears perking up happily like a praised dog. [break][break]
But all good things came to an end. Suddenly, a larger rock from a collection of boulders had been inadvertently sucked into her tornado. The rock span a few times before painfully grazing against Topaz's leg. The girl yelped, feeling the sting, and had lost focus of her magic. As such, she ungracefully fell to the ground. [break][break]
"Ouch... Maybe it is still a work in progress," She whimpered, mustering enough strength to bring herself to sit up. She winced as the fresh wound on her leg throbbed. "Agh. I guess I've gotta get that patched up too..." [break][break]
Topaz had been out here practicing her Sky God Slayer magic. She still had a ways to go before she could be deemed a master, however.

It was a sunny day on this fine weekend. Akane Beach was filled to the brim with vacationers and locals alike. The clear skies and calm tides caught the eyes of anyone within the vicinity; who wouldn’t want to take a break to enjoy the fun? Those who weren’t sunbathing or taking a dip into cool waters were enjoying the activities of the nearby theme park. The atmosphere was lively and inviting. Everyone must have been enjoying it, right? [break][break]

"Hey-- Hey! Get back here!" A red-headed lady called out on the coast. She had long locks and curious ears at the top of her head. Whoever she was, she had been dressed accordingly in a simple but fashionable bathing suit. One might be concerned that with skin so light and delicate looking, an hour too long in the sun might leave an unsightly mark. The girl -- Topaz -- did not have time to care about sunscreen or other mundane protective measures, though. [break][break]
Her barefooted feet were sprinting forward. She was chasing after some silly hooligan who had thought it would be a good idea to steal her surfboard while she had been busy changing. Topaz could feel the silky sand between her toes. This boy was just so fast! [break][break]
”That’s mine! Give it back!” Topaz yelled again. She didn’t wish to conjure up any magic lest she startle the beachgoers, but at this rate, she wouldn’t have a board to surf on, either. What a dilemma.

A gentle female voice sighed it aloud. Once again, Topaz found herself here, sitting atop a lonely building overlooking Onibus Town. Yes, yes, she knew. There were rumors of Dark Guild members who enjoyed spending a bit of time loitering around the city. It was likely not the safest place she could be hanging around, especially at this time of the day. Her ears flattened against her head slightly as her amber-colored eyes stared upwards towards the sky. The night was dark as anything, the moon the only friend keeping her company on this lonely roof. [break][break] A calm breeze began to gently blow to the right, taking Topaz's fiery locks of hair along with its stream. Carefully, the fox-eared girl stood up, overlooking the town. She took a moment to glance down at her palms. Her skin was pale, soft, and-- [break][break] "Weak..." Growled out the girl to herself, her low voice filled with a venomous self-hatred. Why was she always so mellow? So shy? So feeble? Why was it just so difficult to stand up and fight? Topaz always had trouble bringing herself to hurt others-- even in the name of good. She simply wanted to help bring peace amongst the Guilds but how could she do so if she hardly had any strength to move past her doubts? [break][break] "Oh Sky, why curse me with such an element?" She asked out to no one, crying out at the heavens above her. "Why not fire, or ice, or earth, or anything that exudes a sense of strength? All I wish is to protect!" Topaz plead, attempting to grasp onto any resolve she could. "But... Sky? It is just the wind! Something so airy and loose... Does it even harbor any power to it?" Topaz said in an exasperated voice, fingers combing through her long strands of hair. [break][break] She sighed and shook her head. No... This wasn't the approach she could take. This element of her's wasn't something she could just take away. Topaz scoffed at herself; if her mother or father were to see her look so distraught they'd spit out in disgust, disappointed with such a show of fragility. [break][break] "Begging to be lifted of this element would really be the weak choice, wouldn't it?" Topaz mused to herself, beginning to regret all that she had contemplated beforehand. Perhaps, this didn't need to be all that bad. [break][break] Topaz looked below her for a moment before leaping off the ledge of the building, casting a gale of wind out to slow her fall. "Air is loose... but I suppose it is also free. And there's nothing I enjoy more than that," The young woman chuckled to herself abashedly. [break][break] Keeping to the shadows, Topaz took a quick glance around the city. Despite being a city that harbored rumored Dark Guilds, it had a lively aura -- something good was still here. She could not fall victim to judging a book by its cover. Just as how the Sky appeared like a feeble force yet had its hidden benefits, Topaz needed to get both sides of the story for every Guild. Even if it went against what her parents might have thought suitable for her. That way, fairness for all could be ensured. [break][break] "Liberation. That's what this Sky stuff is all about. I'll find a way... somehow. With these powers, I'll find a way to maintain peace amongst the Guilds and the land." [break][break]

HISTORY The Taevas family had always been one that valued virtue and all things ethical. Originally a group of traveling beast-like nomads of the Earthlands, the family settled within Magnolia Town and offered their services to Fairy Tail and eventually the Rune Knights, after demonstrating their magical know-how and strength. As such, much of their roots are found within Fairy Tail and now, more commonly, amongst the Rune Knights. Their family name had a certain amount of prestige to it, as this collection of Beastmen had always seemed to harbor powerful magic. Some liked to theorize it ran in their blood, others thought it might have been the way the family rose their warriors. What everyone appeared sure of was that they were grateful that they sided with good and not evil. Topaz, at the time, had been the newest member of the family. She was the proud daughter of Azur and Celio Topaz, her mother and father who were high-ranking and respected Division Commanders. Many were certain that Topaz would have bound of potential with parents like them.Now, at the age of six, it was clear to many that Topaz would prove to be a bit of a troublesome child. She had an inquisitive mind and a lust for running off where she shouldn't. Like a well-trained escapist, the cunning Topaz often seemed to find a way to escape the watchful eye of her caretakers. This time, she'd managed to go off far. Unfortunately, she had been found by the likes of less-than-good individuals. A member of a Dark Guild stumbled across her and wasted no time stealing her away. Members of Fairy Tail were requested to set out on a search to find her. The search lasted days, and Topaz's distraught parents had begun to lose hope. Eventually, though, she was spotted in the wilderness and quickly brought back to Magnolia Town. As they checked if she were hurt or injured, they had discovered the immense power of a Sky God Lacrima within Topaz's body - something that had not been there before. They figured that members of a Dark Guild must have taken her away to be experimented on. It was decided that in the interest of honing her new powers to the best of its abilities (and making sure that her powers did not end up turning on the Rune Knights) she would be trained as a Rune Knight.And so she was. Topaz's magic acceled; she harbored more power than they had been expecting of her. However, she never seemed all too interested in battle. Her mind always wandered in search of something better, but Topaz could never figure out what that something was. INVENTORY Include any items that your character has. Starting off, your character cannot have any magical weapons or armor UNLESS they are used for Holder or Reequip magic. The same applies to the four spells that a character starts with.NAME: Sky God Slayer Magic.TYPE: Lost.RANK: CDESCRIPTION: Sky God Slayer Magic is a type of magic that gives Topaz to control the element of the sky-- namely manipulating the power of wind. It is a magic that requires a free-willed spirit but also an amount of focus. Topaz is able to consume the air around her and exude it back at an enemy in the form of spiraling whirlwinds. It also allows the user to create wind-based weather systems such as tornadoes or vacuums. The magic gives the user a means of aerial combat. DRAWBACKS: Like all magic, extensive use of Topaz's Sky God Slayer Magic will cause fatigue and drain her energy. Using such for too long will begin to corrupt Topaz's mind and actions, turning her into a darker version of herself. Additionally, because her Sky magic requires the ability to consume and exude air, long bouts of this magic will deteriorate Topaz's lungs, making her breaths shallow and give her difficulty breathing. DESCRIPTION: Topaz launches out vacuum blades of air that are aimed to hit and cut the target. The spell itself isn't incredibly strong and is designed to be used multiple times in battle. Once the vacuum blades hit an opponent, they become the surrounding air's target, and thus, more wind is inputted into the attack every turn, making the attack more powerful.
