"Airbound Terror!" [break][break]

The sound of an exclaimed spell resonated off of the walls of a small waterfall-side cavern. Furious winds began to pick up around the vicinity. Small debris like pebbles, shells, and other mundane cove material were swept away from their initial spots and sucked into a vortex of air. It was a strange sight. A girl with bright red hair towered over the area - her height having been elevated by the tornado she was now riding beneath her feet. [break][break]

Topaz smiled toothily from ear to ear. The spell had been a success! She was really flying now or at least was off the ground thanks to her mastery of this wind. "Finally, it worked!" She cheered, ears perking up happily like a praised dog. [break][break]

But all good things came to an end. Suddenly, a larger rock from a collection of boulders had been inadvertently sucked into her tornado. The rock span a few times before painfully grazing against Topaz's leg. The girl yelped, feeling the sting, and had lost focus of her magic. As such, she ungracefully fell to the ground. [break][break]

"Ouch... Maybe it is still a work in progress," She whimpered, mustering enough strength to bring herself to sit up. She winced as the fresh wound on her leg throbbed. "Agh. I guess I've gotta get that patched up too..." [break][break]

Topaz had been out here practicing her Sky God Slayer magic. She still had a ways to go before she could be deemed a master, however.

Practicing spells had always been something that was rather boring to Ocra, the young mage preferring to train his body through the rigorous physical exercise that he was used to under the Sabertooth guild before he had discovered his Gravity magic. For him, learning different ways he could utilize his spells was always best done in the heat of the moment, when the risks were real and the only thing stopping him from death was his own acquired skill and sense of self preservation. An important aspect to training was always having a goal, another rung to reach toward to continue on the path of personal progress, and that goal didn’t always have to coincide with the training itself. That alongside the mention of its beauty from a fellow guild member is what brought the D rank mage to Bristle Cove, with a fishing rod and container of bait strapped to his person in order to reward himself for the long trek that it took to get here. Boy though was the scenery alone worth it! The water was extremely clear and all the different kinds of fish were in plain view! It was honestly kinda scary how amazing the place looked! Jumping off of the cliff and onto the nearby ground that bordered the small reef. Immediately plopping himself down into a cross-legged stance, Ocra would pull out his fishing rod and just about attach the bait before he heard it-a furious wind that seemed to drag everything nearby inward, almost including the young mage’s bait if he hadn’t held onto it for dear life! Looking at the top of this sudden tornado, he would see the Beastman girl that must’ve summoned this crazy gale. His eyes widening with awe, he would simply watch as the girl seemed to celebrate at the casting of this new spell, only to see her plummet out of his sight. “That was AWESOME! I gotta find that mage!” Deciding to pack up his stuff again for now, the boy would throw on his hood before reaching out toward the rock formation where he had seen the girl before, a light red glow surrounding his hand before he cast his ‘Pull’ spell. Once he had been brought over to a higher vantage point, he would look down at the girl who seemed to have injured herself in the process. “Hey Hey! Are ya alright down there? That was wicked cool!”

With a faint exhale, the crimson-haired lady knelt and then got onto her feet proper. The fabric of her thigh-high boots had been slightly lacerated but her clothing was the least of her worries. Carefully, she eyed her wound. It was a minor gash but it did bleed, dark ruby blood staining the dark material of her leggings. Topaz sighed and shook her head. She was so clumsy today! [break][break]

”Huh?” [break][break]

Topaz gazed above. She saw the figure of a brunet boy with awfully spiky hair. Instinctively, Topaz’s ears flattened shyly. A stranger finding her was embarrassing enough but in this messy state? How awkward! [break][break]

A faint blush spread across her cheeks. ”Hi,” Topaz acknowledged, ”Yeah, I’m fine… Just a spell gone wrong.” She gently replied, twirling with a strand of her long hair. [break][break]

”I could have sworn I was the only one around. You are?”

Ocra was surprised to find another person out here in Bristle Cove, since the guild member who had pointed him to this place definitely told him that it was relatively secluded and the best place for some chill fishing, it was definitely a surprise that someone would use it for training of all things! Looking a bit closer at the beastman girl, it seemed like she was relatively alright, and since she had already greeted him and being pretty polite at that, it wouldn’t hurt to be nice! Leaping off of the tall rock that he had used as a vantage point, the young mage waved as he fell down toward the girl, “Hey hey!” With a bit of a rough landing, the boy rolled before jumping upright and landing on his feet, a couple of scratches on his exposed arms and cheek with a thumbs up held out toward the stranger. “I thought I was gonna be the only here too! My name’s Ocra!” Plopping down into a cross legged position, the young mage’s body rocked from left to right as he continued: “I came over here to do some fishing after one of my guild mates recommended this place. I was SERIOUSLY surprised at how beautiful the place is ya know? You use wind magic right? What kinda spell was that?! It was like a HUUUUGE tornado! I almost lost my bait!” Ocra proudly held out the large container of worms that he had brought with him, pointing towards the body of water beside them. “Ya know I’ve heard this place has some crazy good fish too! I was hoping to catch some to eat for when I camp tonight!”
