A moment alone With the unbeknown, reset the world, imagine home. A primal need to touch the stars, only way there to enter Clover Town. Siegfried had not been to this city ever before and the sole thought of visiting it was completely bittersweet to the man. So many nights stargazing and making plans of how wonderful life would be when they moved to Clover Town, all the wonderful things they would see and do... And all came to a tragic end on that fateful night and Siegfried instinctively touched his scarred chest as he remembered that. His normally jolly expression was in complete pain at the moment, but luckily the black hood he was wearing was doing a good job at casting a shadow and hiding the distress he harboured in his heavy heart. The town itself was not impressive at first look, but rather looked like just a regular small town in a mountainous area, surrounded by a thick forest. But there was so much more than meet the eyes in that place, and the further he ventured through the narrow and yet beautifully made streets, he realized that the town was rather alluring and charming. This was, after all, the place where all the Masters from the Legal Guilds would converge and discuss important matters. But more importantly than that, it was also the epicenter of all History of the Kingdom, and its museum was renowned beyond measures. And that museum was exactly the place the man was heading to. As he approached it, he took a deep breath and tried to change his distressed expression to a more neutral one. He half-accomplished that goal and, if anything, he looked just melancholic now. Taking off his hooded cape and putting it back in his travel bag, the man stared at the entrance of the building and sighed deeply. "I was supposed to come here with you, ya know?" since he seemed to be alone, he was speaking to himself in a low tone, but still should someone be close enough. "Heh..." he chuckled and shook his head as his eyes watered for a bit, but he was quick to wipe them clean. "It is my fault in the end... I can't escape that thought... I should've protected you, protected both of you... And yet, all I accomplished was to give him a proper grave and you... A life, I hope?..." he sighed once again, lifting his head to stare at the door of the museum, wondering if he should make his way inside it or not; his heart was thorn.

"this world will be a wonderful place to live in someday, i'm sure of it!"
Sometimes you had to go back to your past, even when you were trying to run away from it. Granted, she wasn't forced to come here. But the potential reward she could get was too much to past up. She was going to meet with a contact here a few hours from now. In the meantime, she could explore the town to her heart's content. Not that she really needed to explore it.
Vanadis had been born here, to the very well off Seram family. They were very deeply entrenched in Clover Town and the Rune Knights. Most family members were in or once were in the Rune knights, usually in the Clover Town branch to protect the various masters that gathered there. It was a tradition and a source of pride for the Seram. So much so that they had washed their hands clean of her when she lost control of her magic.
Vanadis was in her disguise, walking down the street. People were giving her some strange looks, but they didn’t say anything to her. Her disguise was a bit flashy, which was why she didn’t use it in public. The idea was that the hair color was so unique no one would think that it was a disguise. She didn’t want anyone to spot her as Vanadis Seram though.
She passed by the museum where she grew up as a child. It was one of her favorite places to go. She stopped, looking back at it. There had been someone she wanted to go back to there with. It had been something she had talked with her lover, Siegfried. She closed her eyes, hanging her head down.
“Siegfred, I’m so sorry. We were supposed to come here. I hope wherever you are, you’ve moved on with your life.”
She opened her eyes and looked up at the museum. She wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings. If she had, she likely would have gotten out of sight as soon as possible. For her love was right there, also lamenting the future that never came true for either of them. | Siegfried Kresnik | notes: | Magic Power: 1,500 |
