Glacio decided to find an open area In town where he could practice his Swordsmanship. Truth be told, it would be better if he had a sparring partner to better gauge his technique, but he supposed the others in Sabertooth were all busy doing their own missions and thought it best not to bother them. Glacio drew out his giant car key sword and practiced his quick swings and thrusts while not forgetting to breath deliberately and controlled through his nose during his practice exercises.

“Challenge accepted!” The voice boomed from just over the swordsman’s shoulder. Directly behind, with a half-meter gap at most separating them, Shinzu stood stiffly with his arms crossed and a goofy smiled etched along his face. At least, that’s what anyone in the area would be able to observe from the exposed portion of his mouth that wasn’t obscured by a fragmented portion of a bone-white mask. “The name’s Shinzu. You almost definitely should not have heard of me.” He said, despite his notoriously negative reputation in Sabertooth for going around challenging random people to fights.
Taking a half step back, Shinzu pulled his right foot backwards while stamping the forward left foot hard onto the ground. Grin widening, Shinzu eyed the blue haired man carefully. What were the chances that two blue haired swordsmen were fated to cross blades this day? Fated indeed. The expression Shinzu pulled of pure joy seemed to suggest that he wouldn’t be leaving until the giant key-wielder accepted the notion of a spar. Wrapping a hand tightly around the hilt of his still-sheathed sword, which rested by his left hip, he waited and watched to see what the opponent would do. The guild had expressly forbidden Shinzu from challenging any more members to fights. However, there was nothing stopping him from going around shouting ‘challenge accepted’ to random people until eventually, someone took the bait and made the first move.

Progredimini, Bellatores Albi! Delete legatum Deorum Veterum, ut progrediamini ad mundum novum! Delete fatum creatum Dis Veteribus, Bellatores Albi! Ut faciatis omnes caelum et terram nostras! Bellatores Albi! Delete legatum Deorum Veterum ut progrediamini ad mundum novum!
Glacio nearly jumped when he heard the voice boom over his shoulder at a very close distance, and the bluenette still held an expression of shock as he looked over his shoulder to the man that apparently accepted a challenge without one being offered. It was very clear to Glacio that this man wanted to cross swords with him, and he would most certainly grant that wish...after he's regained his composure from a near cardiac episode. It was in this moment that he slowly turned his body counterclockwise by 180 degrees to get a better look at this other blue-haired warrior while he rested his free arm and his "sword" at his side. He had a goofy grin plastered on his face with his arms crossed in a stiff standing pose, while Glacio's own pose was relaxed and casual with a neutral calm expression now; albeit his eyes gave off an expression of calculating suspicion. That mask though...it looked like it was real bone, and the kind he's never seen before; this piqued his academic curiosity.
So Shinzu was his name? Ah yes, the supposed battle maniac that would just challenge members to a fight randomly on a whim. From the description some of the other members had provided him with, Shinzu-san sounded like a brutish prick that should be avoided at all costs like a monster. However, the Ice Dragon Slayer found him to be badass, undeniably handsome, and his confidence was rather charming. However, he'd definitely need to keep the whole handsome thing to himself for now, even though the markings just under Shinzu-san's eyelids were almost the same shade of teal as Glacio's irises. A nice touch and truly captivating, but he was getting ahead of himself here.
He watched carefully as Shinzu took half a step back before his grin became even wider, signaling to Glacio that Shinzu was really excited to fight Glacio; the feeling was mutual. "So it is... My name is Glacio Crystallum, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Shinzu-san." Glacio said softly and respectfully to Shizu with the slightest grin before immediately stepping into a mad sprint towards Shinzu while holding his namesake weapon raised parallel to his waist at arm's length. Once he was half a meter away from Shinzu, he quickly raised his key and just as quickly brought it down in an attempt to land a heavy blow with an overhead strike. If Shinzu did evade the strike, Glacio would definitely cause significant damage to the stone floor of the town.

“Woah – Sabertooth, right? Ha! That means I don’t have to hold back.” Shinzu grinned with the joyful innocence of a man-child at the sight of the startled swordsman. The act of witnessing the man turning seemed to cause the man’s spiky blue hair to sway just enough for Shinzu to spot the tell-tale signs of a Sabertooth guild mark. This was good. Not even he would allow himself to go completely all out against a complete stranger. Especially not after his recent scoldings. However, to him, a fellow Sabertoother was to be considered as nothing less than family. The way his twisted mind worked, he could only consider it an insult if he didn’t go all out against the man that had just revealed himself as Glacio.
Snickering, a moment of doubt visibly flashed in Shinzu’s eyes despite his expression. His gaze seemed to be fixated on Glacio’s hair. More so on the hair, than even the giant sword he was wielding. “Good – he’s not from my village.” He thought, with a mental sigh of relief. Confidence returning, the grip around the hilt of his katana tightened once more. The blue hair was a characteristic sign of something ungodly. The sign of a by-product of human and demon. However, a close inspection revealed that Glacio’s shade of blue was all wrong. It wasn’t quite as unnaturally stark as Shinzu’s hue. Besides, Shinzu would likely have recognised Glacio, if he was from that cursed village. Over the years, he had never forgotten the faces of those he may need to one day slay.
“The pleasure is all mine.” Shinzu seemed to regain his composure and respond to Glacio after an awkward pause. Struggling to contain the well of redundant emotions inside of him, Shinzu snapped out of his trance upon ripping the katana free from his sheath and slamming it horizontally against Glacio’s weapon. “Tch.” Grimacing, while the harsh clamour of steel on steel resonated against the air, Shinzu realised that he most definitely was fighting a fellow member of Sabertooth as he felt the stone slab directly underneath him cracking slightly under the pressure of the opponent’s strike. “Not half bad.” He retorted upon having blocked the strike with a one-handed stance. The opponent carried a weapon with much more weight to it. However, it seemed that Shinzu had the advantage when it came to muscle mass and body weight.
“…Not bad at all.” Grimace shifting to smile, Shinzu suddenly grabbed the bottom half of his weapon’s hilt with his free hand to shift to a two-armed stance. Based on how much his shoulder and wrist ached near immediately after blocking the brunt of the powerful strike, Shinzu cast any doubts in his mind aside. This definitely wasn’t a foe he could hold back against. Bending at the knees lightly, Shinzu abruptly tilted his sword diagonally towards the ground to allow the foe's downward force to cause his massive weapon to slide off Shinzu’s and crash harmlessly towards his left. If successful, he’d take a step towards the right to ensure the aftermath of the strike was as far away from his body as possible, while unleashing a diagonal strike, from Glacio’s lower-left to the upper right portion of his chest to keep him on guard. Having put far too much weight into the strike, it would be easy enough to react to. However, if Glacio did block rather than outright evade the strike, he’d find a surprising amount of force being carried into the thin steel of the katana. Potentially even enough to knock him off his balance if he wasn't expecting it.

Glacio raised an eyebrow when Shinzu addressed him as being in Sabertooth, and exclaiming that he wouldn't have to hold back. "Yeah, I'm in Sabertooth big guy." He said to the bluenette softly with a soft grin as he witnessed Shinzu's excited grin. However, the snickering coming from Shinzu confused Glacio, but he pushed it away when both of their blades connected. However, his opponent would then shift his katana diagonally to deflect Glacio's own heavy blade to slam on the ground harmlessly to the left. The problem with Crystallum was that it was a lot heavier than it looked, therefore, he wasn't able to wield it very quickly at all.
For that reason, he only had just enough time to take a step back and block the coming blow like a shield with his left hand on the back of the blade. What he wasn't expecting was being knocked off of his feet and being forced back away from Shinzu for a couple feet before recovering to a stop with a back flip and skidding to a stop, kneeling on one knee. "Impressive..." Glacio said after he recomposed himself after his eyes going wide after the impact, and he used his blade to prop himself back to his feet. "Come on then, strike me down." Glacio said as he got back into a fighting pose to let Shinzu come at him this time.

“Hey now – I’m not that big.” Shinzu retorted as he stepped into his swing to transfer his full body weight into the hefty blow. Less swordsmanship now and more baseball, the satisfying sound of metal on metal clamoured against the air once more as Glacio blocked the strike, only to be knocked off balance and forced to retreat. The sound of snickering would then get further away as Shinzu made a decision to stand his ground, rather than chasing after Glacio. The ear-to-ear grin clearly revealed that the Slayer was enjoying himself. Rushing in and going all out from the start would only be counterproductive. He wanted to enjoy and savour this for as long as possible. Even if that gave Glacio a precious few moments to recover and strategize, Shinzu would gladly give up his opportunity to strike a winning blow if it meant prolonging this joyous spar.
“Strike you down? You should be the one trying to strike me down!” Grin ever-widening, Shinzu twisted the katana in his two-handed grip so that rather awkwardly, the curve of the steel now pulled away from Glacio. With the flat end of the blade now facing forwards, Glacio would only be dealt blunt-force trauma if the blade did make contact with him. “However – Ask, and you will receive.” Kicking off the ground, Shinzu felt a jolt of adrenaline flood his system as he broke out into a mad dash. By the time the gap would be closed, Glacio would already have comfortably pulled himself onto his feet, leaving him more than able to react to Shinzu’s next move. Assuming his eyes were sharp enough to follow the erratic and wild movements.
Taking in a deep breath to reinforce his core with air, Shinzu suddenly swung his blade upwards while slamming his dominant right foot forwards to transfer his body weight into the blow. Whether Glacio dodged or blocked, Shinzu planned on quickly pivoting his body towards the left to release a small slashing gesture at Glacio to cover his movements, before pivoting his body towards the right to commit to a wider and much more powerful arcing slash at the foe’s core. The Slayer seemed committed to a full on offensive, regardless of whether that left him open to a counterattack or not. However, despite acting like a reckless beast, a confident glimmer in Shinzu’s eyes would almost betray the fact that there seemed to be thought and logic put into his blurred combo.
