[attr="class","opmindtopright"]GUILDS
[attr="class","opmindtop2"]THE GUILD SYSTEM IS DESCRIBED HERE
[attr="class","opmindblurb"]
[attr="class","opmindblurb1"]Guilds are organizations formed for the pursuit of a common goal. There are many different guilds out there, all with their different members, resources and ideals. Mages often join guilds in order to connect with other mages, build friendships, earn fame and fortune, obtain power and much more. On the site, players are able to join and form their own guilds. Guilds are awesome devices for character development and plots, and we hope to give players all the tools they need to accomplish just that.[break][break]
Guilds are encouraged to try and recruit members to join them. However, in order to make sure guild membership are not extremely imbalanced, guilds will have a roster limit placed upon them. When a guild reaches that limit, membership to that guild will be closed. Once either guilds gain additional membership or existing members leave the guild either willingly or through inactivity, then the limit will be lifted.
LEGAL GUILDS are guilds approved and registered by the Magic Council. Legal guilds follow the law and as such are allowed to do what they want. Legal Guilds, as a whole, do what they can in order to make the world around them a better place, whether it is through protection or investment into their communities. While Legal Guilds tend to be of sound moral character, that is not the case for every single one of them. If Legal Guilds constantly commit crimes, they have a change of having their Legal status revoked and branded as a Dark Guild.[break][break]
INDEPENDENT GUILDS are guilds that are not approved by the Magic Council, but they are not branded as criminal organizations either. Independent Guilds vary wildly in morality and tend to keep to themselves and their own devices. As long as they do not openly commit crimes, the Magic Council will not actively pursue them.[break][break]
DARK GUILDS are guilds not approved by the Magic Council and are fully treated as criminal organizations. Dark Guilds are known for being menaces to society and often participate in all sorts of criminal activity from assassinations, smuggling, illegal magic practices and much more. However, some Dark Guilds exist to serve as a haven for those cast away by society. Whatever the case may be, members of these guilds are considered criminals and will be treated as such by the Magic Council.
Players can become guildmasters as well. In order to do so, they must be at least B-Class in one magic. Next, they must provide a summary of what they have done in-character to lead to them assuming the position of Guildmaster. This summary must also include relevant thread links. Afterwards, staff will review their case and either approve or deny their request. If approved, the player can then make a public thread announcing their promotion to Guildmaster. Now, members of the guild are able to protest the promotion if desired. However, this does not mean that the opposing member(s) are able to take the Guildmaster position if they are successful in their opposition. Ultimately, it’s up to the guild to roleplay the situation however they see fit.
FAIRY TAIL[break]
STATUS: Legal [break]
GUILDMASTER: NPC[break]
GUILD THREAD LINK: ---[break]
GUILD BASE LOCATION: Magnolia Town[break]
Fairy Tail is one of the most well-known guilds within Fiore. The guild stresses adventure and camarederie and takes in mages from all backgrounds so long as they are willing to always strive to do the right thing. Fairy Tail is fiercely protective of its members and will not allow attacks against their guild members to go unpunished. Although they are known for being a rowdy bunch, they are law-abiding and do what they can to give back to the community. The Magic Council points to Fairy Tail as a shining example of what a Legal Guild should be, and Fairy Tail takes this recognition seriously.[break][break]
SABERTOOTH[break]
STATUS: Independent[break]
GUILDMASTER: NPC[break]
GUILD THREAD LINK: ---[break]
GUILD BASE LOCATION: Shirotsume Town[break]
Sabertooth is yet another famous guild that is known for its sheer power. Originally a Legal Guild, Sabertooth has broken away from the Magic Council, displeased by the Council’s governance. This change did not surprise most people; those who know Sabertooth are well aware of the guild’s overwhelming arrogance. Then again, Sabertooth can back it up; many of its guild members are absolute powerhouses, and the guild absolutely annihilates anyone who dares harm its members. Although it might not seem like it, the guild does anything it can for its members.[break][break]
RAVEN TAIL[break]
STATUS: Appears Legal, Actually Dark[break]
GUILDMASTER: NPC[break]
GUILD THREAD LINK: ---[break]
GUILD BASE LOCATION: Onibus Town[break]
Raven Tail is the archnemesis of Fairy Tail. In fact, the guild was originally created to destroy Fairy Tail. Nowadays, while Raven Tail is a Dark Guild in reality, it gives off the impression that it’s a Legal Guild. They are very open about their activities and even invite others to tour the guild base and learn more about the guild itself. However, underneath the surface, Raven Tail is an avid participator in the dark underbelly of the world. In terms of its members, Raven Tail has a habit of taking in those who were cast away by society and who are unable to fit anywhere else. With the resources as its disposal, Raven Tail is a powerful and dangerous guild and will go above and beyond to crush its enemies.

GUILD CLASSIFICATIONS
Guilds are classified as either Legal, Independent or Dark. Every guild on the site will fall under one of these three classifications.[break][break]LEGAL GUILDS are guilds approved and registered by the Magic Council. Legal guilds follow the law and as such are allowed to do what they want. Legal Guilds, as a whole, do what they can in order to make the world around them a better place, whether it is through protection or investment into their communities. GUILDMASTERS
Guildmasters are the leaders of the respective guilds. Typically, they are also the guild’s strongest member as well. Guildmasters are responsible for managing their guild and members. In terms of the role guildmasters play on this site, they are expected to recruit members, develop guild plots and jobs, and constantly interact and plot with their guild members. Guildmasters are also expected to maintain a guild thread containing all relevant information related to the guild. In all, guildmasters are fully expected to use their position to benefit the site as a whole, not just themselves.[break][break]Players can become guildmasters as well. In order to do so, they must be at least B-Class in one magic. Next, they must provide a summary of what they have done in-character to lead to them assuming the position of Guildmaster. This summary must also include relevant thread links. Afterwards, staff will review their case and either approve or deny their request. Ultimately, it’s up to the guild to roleplay the situation however they see fit.
CUSTOM GUILDS
Custom guilds are possible and encouraged to form. Just like with canon guilds, the creator in question must be at least B-Class in one magic. Plus, they must have the support of three other members who are willing to join the guild immediately after its creation. After that, the creator will go through the usual process of explaining what they have done in-character for them to earn the position of Guildmaster of their new custom guild. If approved, the creator of the custom guild will become Guildmaster, and they can announce their earning of the position in-character.CURRENT GUILDS
Here is the list of all the current guilds on the site. As more guilds are created, they will be added to this list.[break][break]FAIRY TAIL[break]
