Shime is a lithe woman of short stature, only standing at 5 feet. She has long, straight black hair which flows behind her. She has red eyes, which played a part in the nickname of "crimson arms master.". Her skin has a very pale complexity to it, despite the time she spends outside training. She usually wears her Rune Knight uniform, as she takes her work very seriously. She has a katana she keeps strapped to her hips. It’s very rare for one to see her in casual clothing, although there have been instances off duty when she has. She always has her hat on person, even if she isn't wearing it. This is to hide the horn growing out of her head, a result of her demonic heratige.

To people who meet her in passing, she seems like just an energetic person. She’s almost always making some kind of motion, even if it's unnecessary. A very outgoing individual who cracks the occasional joke. She’s able to enter most conversations seamlessly. To those passersby, this surface is all they see.
However Shime is intense would be an understatement. She puts her all into everything she does. Her training, missions, and recruitment into the army. She’s passionate in her beliefs and pushes herself to do her best. She puts those assigned to her unit to that same standard. To this date, no one has been able to meet that standard, resulting in her not having a squad to command. Those who were previously in her squad described the training as “trying to survive against a demon.”
She also enjoys fighting to an extreme, and has an itchy trigger finger. She obsesses with her craft, constantly practicing and fine tuning her magical weapons. Her guns are how she deals with most problems that involve disorderly conduct. While they haven’t been used in lethal capacity against low-level offenders, it’s still off putting to some people.
HISTORY
Shime was left on the doorstep of the Oak Town orphanage. There was a note that only said “Shime” in the basket next to her, which roughly translated to “Demon eyes”. Since she looked nearly entirely human, they presumed that’s why she was abandoned. So the nuns took her in.
Her time there was spent in isolation. The other children were scared of her, and the adults were weary of her. The horn on her head gave her the moniker of demon. Despite her desire to have friends and family, all her efforts to connect with others failed. She grew up in that orphanage alone, surrounded by other children who would play together.
One day when she was 9, a couple appeared looking to adopt a girl. The staff did their best to influence them to take Shime. Like so many couples before them, they took one look at her, and fear crossed their faces. White-hot rage filled Shime. She knew what was going to happen.
“It’s not fair! What did I do to deserve this?! I don’t want to be alone, I DON’T WANT TO BE ALONE!!!”
There was a flash of red light, and the couple slammed into the far wall, the impact creating indents. As they crumpled to the floor, the nuns looked at Shime in horror. She was panting heavily, gritting her teeth and staring at them all with rage. Two guns floated in the air on either side of her. Her magic had manifested.
One of the kids came in and saw the bodies of the couple on the floor, and screamed out in horror. That snapped everyone out of the stand off. The guns disappeared, and Shime looked behind her at the younger boy. Her body trembling, she slowly turned back over at the couple on the ground. One of the nun’s was kneeling over them. She looked up at the other one, shaking her head with a tear running down her face.
“They’re dead…”
The other Nun’s widened in horror, then whirled to face Shime, shouting at her in fury.
”YOU INHUMAN MONSTER!!!"
Shime covered her ears and ran out the door before they could react. She ran, ran, and ran. What scared her most wasn’t the dagger the nun had painfully shoved into her just now. Or the looks of horror and terror on their faces. No, it was there was a part of her that had enjoyed that. Right after her attack had hit, she felt elated. They must be right: what else but a monster would feel any level of enjoyment?
Shibe wandered the wilderness aimlessly. Starved and dehydrated, she collapsed and blacked out. When she awakened, she was in a cell. All around her were other children. She was in the Skeleton Hand guild, who got their hands on children to sell, or use for their own gain if they had magic potential. Immediately Shime was filled with rage, and summoned her guns and blew open the cell.
Guards showed up, attracted by the noise. They were low level and she dispatched them quickly. Suddenly there was an explosion from above that rocked the whole building. Shime rushed upstairs, and saw a battle unfolding. Dethener he Rune Knight was engaging Skeleton Hand. They weren’t a match for his magic. Two dark mages tried to sneak up behind him. Dethener whirled around to engage them, only to watch as red beams of light took them both out. He looked over at Shime for an instant before engaging the guild again.
The battle didn’t last much longer after that. Dethener could tell what she was at a glance. He went over to her and explained everything to her. Throughout the interaction, Shime wasn’t scared of the imposing figure. If anything, she was looking at him with awe. His power, his strength fascinated her. And he was like her! She wasn’t alone. Dethener saw the promise in her magic, and took her back with him and the other children. Soon after this, Dethener adopted her.
Dethener took her under his wing, teaching her how to control her powers and magic. When she was 20, she joined the Rune Knights. In just one year, she became the youngest captain in the organization. She got on the fast track towards becoming a Knight Commander. Shime had turned her life around drastically, all thanks to a “monster” that many people feared. She swore that she would make him proud of her

While the length and design of the muskets vary depending on the type of spell she fires from, the one design element that is consistent across all of them is the golden gear. DESCRIPTION: Shime can access a pocket dimension where she stores special guns, the majority of which are magical. She can summon them to her hand or anywhere within her field of vision. Each of them is capable of firing different things, based on her techniques and formations.
DRAWBACKS: Shime has put everything into her guns.While she hasn’t completely negated physical training, she mostly focused on her agility. As such, if someone with her level of offensive magic gets in close, she gets put at a disadvantage. She also has trouble dealing with speed if she doesn’t use particular counter measures. Being half demon also makes her magic 20% less effective against Devil Slayers

A technique designed to capture and subdue others in her Rune Knight duties. Shime summons a long rifle she called Kujikiri, and fires a red ball of magic at the target. The blast sends her target flying and stuns them. The energy surrounds them for a short period, stunning them for a short period.

DESCRIPTION:
Shime summons many guns which float in the air. Each of them have slightly different design variations. is able to fire varying blasts of wind at her opponents. She’s able to manipulate how they’re fired with her golden gears, either firing compressed blasts to slam into her opponents, or exploding gales that slash her opponents.
