[attr="class","opmindblurb1"]Dungeons are places that are absolutely teeming with enemies and are considered some of the most dangerous areas for mages to traverse. However, with this danger comes great reward. Dungeons hold all sorts of loot such as jewels, rare items and much more. What makes dungeons different from missions is that dungeons are run by a Dungeon Master, a player who is responsible for narrating progression through the dungeon, controlling enemies and describing the environment. As of now, only staff members may be Dungeon Masters, but there may be a point where players can create and DM their own dungeons with staff approval.
Dungeons follow the same ranking scheme as missions and tells the minimum recommended class a mage should be before attempting to explore the dungeon. You must be at least C-Class before attempting any dungeons, and a dungeon can become more difficult if the party’s overall ranking is higher than the dungeon’s ranking. Also, you may only be in ONE dungeon at a time. If a dungeon becomes abandoned by the party, then the dungeon may be attempted by another party. If a dungeon becomes abandoned by the original Dungeon Master, then another Dungeon Master may take over, depending on the circumstances. Each party member has a 48 HOUR time limit to post. If a party member does not post within 48 HOURS, then they are skipped in the turn order, any attempted actions against them are automatically successful, and the next person in the posting order may post. All dungeons are DEATH-ENABLED. This means if you explore a dungeon, you are at full risk of death at any point in the dungeon. You have been warned.
The exact rewards gained from dungeons varies from dungeon to dungeon. No matter what, all participants will be rewarded with 1.5x the normal amount of jewels an equivalent ranked mission gives upon completion. Also, there are opportunities to gain all sorts of special items and equipment that are unable to be obtained through traditional means.
