Nicholas is a slim build, purple-skinned male. Visually he could be of age between 16 - 18, though, with how mature he has been acting lately people could give him even more. Thanks to his elf mother the boy has pointy ears, high cheekbones, purple skin, and overall sharp facial features. As a vampire, though, his eyes are blood red when fed and black when starving. When smiling one can see sharp fangs poking and he has claw-like fingers, sharp enough to draw blood.
Ever since he had awoken the male has worn the same outfit, once indicating him as part of the nobility, now reminding of days long gone. There are some holes and dirt on it, blood stains he couldn't care about. Mostly Nicholas has a black, simple cloak over it, a hood hiding the boys long, black and wild hair, as well as, his face.

Rare few would say that Nicholas is someone pleasant to be around. He's prideful, mean and even rude if he feels that it's possible to get away with it. The male enjoys having power over others and, while he knows when to admit that someone is equal or more powerful than him, will enjoy punishing someone for just being weak. The vampire even gets a certain high of such control. He, for sure, won't inhibit his cravings and enjoys the life of luxury. Because of that, Nicholases current state of being a nobody irks him quite a lot and, when given opportunity, that makes the boy twice as cruel.
If looking pass all that, which not many try, the vampire has proved to be a man of his word. He hates making promises that he can't keep and they aren' made lightly. In a stressful situation, he won't lose his head but, if insulted, the man doesn't need a lot to explode and even become reckless. The noble upbringing has taught him a thing or two about manipulation but in no way he would be called an expert. Dismembering people to get what you want is still his favorite way of dealing with things.
HISTORY
Nicholas was a child of a union between Baron Erobern and his elven wife Seina. For most, it was a time of ruin. Monsters ruled the land, humans were only just now learning how to use magic and for a common man it seemed like there was no time to rest. Eroberns were one of those reasons.
You see, they came to their wealth through slave-trade. The baron owned multiple "pleasure houses" through-out the land and supplied, both, intelligent monsters with meals and despicable humans with slaves. As a miller would see wheat, Eroberns saw peasants in the same light. Many would say the noble family was monsters long before they turned into a vampire clan.
Neither the boy nor his mother was against the actions of Erobern's head. And why would they, he gave them luxury and feeling of safety rarely anyone could enjoy at that time. As years went on Nicholas took after his father's and mother's sadistic tendencies and earned a reputation through pain and fear.
He can still remember the day when his mortality was shed away. It was evening, mother was visiting the near-by town for some shopping and him being alone at home. Nicholas was slightly worried about how things were changing lately, Mage Council solidifying their power in the land, monsters of all kinds slithering into the shadows, giving their land to the humans, and hope rising in more and more places. There were also rumors that the last of the vampire clans had been destroyed. He was no fool. If things kept on going as they were now his father will be overthrown. It was only matter of time.
With these thoughts in mind, it was then the coldness gript his soul, clouded the boy's vision, and changed him forever. This was the night when Eroberns became the last vampire clan and spread fear for many, many years.
Nicholas didn't really know how he acquired his new power or state of existence. Just that his father had made a deal and the boy was okay with that. He was immortal, forever young, and with magic that grew as he indulged in his sadistic tendencies. The new vampires loved to hear the Call of Blood. The rush when feeding wasn't describable and while, yes, it lost its shine after a while but Nicholas Erobern had no regrets.
Many, many years passed and life got boring. The young vampire had lost the spark. The joy of seeing a lowly peasant scream in pain caused nothing. He truly felt dead. Such, after a short discussion he decided to take a break from the world by entering a self-induced coma. After 50 years or so his father would wake him up and hopefully the vampire would feel better.
No one was there when the charm ended. He woke up alone, dust covered and so, so hungry. His home, once a proud mansion, was now forgotten in a middle of a forest, robed of anything valuable. There was no signs of his family but his father's sword, piece of metal, all power stripped from it, and the Bloodfallen Baron's black book. List of people, creatures, clans, and such who owned favors to them.
With these two things, he set out in the new and strange world.

DESCRIPTION: Once a powerful artifact crafted by The Bloodfallen Baron, this sword had an appetite for blood similar to his own fathers. Unfortunately, during time Nicholas was hibernating someone had taken the heart of the blade, reducing it to nothing but a fancy piece of silver.

NAME: Bloodcurse

DESCRIPTION: This magic can be used only by vampires and especially corrupt monster types, relying less on knowledge and more on desire. Fueled by blood, the practitioner will slowly gain a larger capacity to hold the liquid as their spells will become more and more taxing.
Starting from B-rank they will learn how to create a secondary storage unit for blood in the form of a flying orb, gathered from fresh corpses of beasts and men alike. This orb is formed when un-attended blood, one not controlled by anyone else, can be found near the mage and serves also as a secondary focus point from which spells can be cast. The orb can maneuver in a one-meter radius of the practitioner, though, it's not suggested to leave it too far. One spell with an equal rank of the magic could destroy it and downgrade all of their spells by an rank for the duration of the thread.
Unlike so many other magic types, to advance in this one the practitioner needs to feed and a lot. Back in the old days, there were vampire lords that needed a small village to replenish their power, and when closer to advance fed on whole towns. Powerful creatures serve better for this purpose, dragons having the most sought after blood, but many vampires did prefer humanoid species as they were easy to slaughter. It's rumored that once reaching S-rank a vampire will find humanoid blood as useful as stream water.
Curiously, while most inhuman species that had learned the art just become bloodthirsty, corrupt versions of themselves, only humanoid races, like, humans, elves, dwarfs, and such turn into creatures of the night.
Vampire's health and magic resources are also tied more closely together. While full they will have physical stats matching the magic's rank, though, once depleted they can barely match a regular human and, if left for a long time without blood, enter a coma-like state. Some vampires use it to take a vacation from being alive.
DRAWBACKS: The first thing taught to those practicing the Scarlet Art is that you may never be left thirsty. Blood is not only the source of your magic, it's now what keeps you alive in the world of the mortals. Such, as mentioned before, if a vampire exhausts all of their blood they will fall into a coma from which they can be awakened only by feeding them blood. Not only that, but any attack, no matter the power of it, would kill the vampire. Ash to ash, dust to dust.
Unlike many practitioners make it seem, one needs to have iron willpower to resist the Call of Blood. It can never be completely ignored but those who surrender to the temptation to feed become feral, their magic mutating into something much more primal. As the mage casts spells they may be forced to use blood stored in their own body. The over-use of magic and unavoidable hunger can then lead for the Call of Blood to take over, the practitioner entering frenzy and becoming a threat to themselves and others around.
It's said that each time a vampire frenzies little part of the remains of their humanity dies.

NAME: Summon Household (Wolf).
TYPE: Offensive.

MODS: Construct (Wolf), Physical Damage (Piercing), Debuff (Speed).
DESCRIPTION: As the blood sacrifice is made the mage's shadow becomes denser and soon after a set of black wolves emerge from it. In B-rank they can summon 6 D-rank wolves and them last 4 posts or until destroyed.
While the predators may prove too weak to fight stronger enemies they also carry a blood curse. Anything living coming in contact with the shadowy predators will feel as their shadow gains weight, slowing them down for the next three posts.
NAME: Crimson Cloak.
TYPE: Defensive (Can be activated only with blood orb present).
RANK: B.
MODS: Reflect, Construct (Cloak).
DESCRIPTION: Triggered once a threat enters a one-meter radius of the mage, a cloak of blood covers the user's body and reflects the damage.
NAME: Peasant's Spears.
TYPE: Offensive.
RANK: B.
MODS: Drain, Physical Damage (Piercing).
DESCRIPTION: After the blood offer has been made five streams of blood assume the shape of crude spears and fire at the mage's targets. While frailer than the spell of the rank would be if the skin has been pierced, and the damage was done some of the target's blood will be claimed to replenish them.
NAME: Summon Household (Bats).
TYPE: Offensive.
RANK: B.
MODS: Area of Effect (Ranged), Drain, Damage Over Time.
DESCRIPTION: After making a large blood sacrifice the mage will have a ball of blood to launch as a projectile. Once it hits it will explode in a hurricane of black wind and bat formed blood. The foul magic will cause D-rank damage to anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the form of a blood drain. It then channeled to replenish the mage. The spell lasts 3 posts.
