Caliber possesses the heart of a scholar in the body of a warrior; this combination has come to shape him into a bit of paradox. He is fearless when met with challenges or obstacles, but is liable to jump into them head first without thinking of the aftermath. He is resourceful, able to solve complex problems with out-of-the-box and simple solutions, yet will go with the time tested method of might-makes-right before anything else. An incident from childhood has left him claustrophobic and irritated by insects; whether it be within a clustered hallway, an enclosed cave, a honeybee, or a giant spider, Caliber is liable to swing first and be sorry later. Though able to hold a conversation and be rather pleasant, he isn't social by nature. He doesn't seek out companions nor does he consider himself lonely. What friends he does have is generally protective of, however. He has a dislike of fish, due to it's smell, while his favorite foods include baked chicken, banana bread, and cookies. An easy way to bribe him is with food, with his greatest weakness being apple pie along with coffee. HISTORY Caliber Ecks is the son of two former archaeologists/adventurers turned curio-shop owners. Growing up in a frontier town, much of his childhood was spent playing with other children, such as knights and dragons, tag, and hide-and-seek. He often helped out in his parent's shop, doing basic menial tasks such as sweeping or carrying light boxes, to the best of his young body's ability. As he got older, he'd take a more primary role within the shop as his parents got older, taking over as the face of it and it's main clerk. Although he never expressed it outright, he possessed the same hunger for adventure that his parents once had in their youth. But at the age of 15, it seemed that his destiny lay in inheriting the shop and the wares within it. Soon after his 16th birthday, his parents would fall sick with a fatal illness, and soon after pass away. Left alone and without much direction, Caliber was at a loss of how to move forward with his life. As if by chance, an antiques collector enter his shop one day, inquiring about it and it's owners. Caliber told the man the truth of it, how he now was the sole proprietor of the place. The collector would do something unexpected; they would offer him a deal. Caliber would sell them the shop, wares and all, in exchange for an amount of jewels, as well as a magic tome. With his parents gone, Caliber's connection to the place had soured, being a reminder of who he had lost. He couldn't have agreed to the deal quick enough, signing over all the necessary documents and deeds, before receiving his payment, and for the first time, departing his hometown. He's been traveling Fiore for several years now, moving from town to town, never settling in one place for too long. the magic he learned from the tome, Detonate, turned out to be not-so-surprisingly destructive, and after one or two incidents involving the destruction of a tavern and town square, word on the countryside has begun to spread of a 'Wild Bomber' mage. INVENTORY Include any items that your character has. Starting off, your character cannot have any magical weapons or armor UNLESS they are used for Holder or Reequip magic. They may have magical accessories as long as they do not provide any sort of battle advantage. Companions also go here. ITEM NAME: Dust Scarf RANK: N/A DESCRIPTION: A magical power-infused scarf that filters out dust particles and smells. Useful when you need to sleep near animal pens or in the aftermath of explosions. MAGIC This is where you'll put all of your magic and spells. Characters may only start with one magic type. A character's magic rank is equal to the character's class. The same applies to the four spells that a character starts with. NAME: Detonate TYPE: Caster Magic RANK: C RANK: No Defensive or Healing Spells (Destructive Potential +1 Rank) DESCRIPTION: Detonate is an innately destructive magic that allows it's user to produce powerful explosions from their bodies. They are to detonate parts of their bodies, objects, or produce projectiles that carry incredible destructive potential. DRAWBACKS: Due to the nature of Detonate, user's of this magic must take when employing it's use around others. It is not a precise magic, and so it is very easy to catch allies and bystanders in the midst of attacks. Also, while users are immune to the effects of their own detonation, if they should trigger a larger one, say if by striking a gunpowder barrel, they are fully susceptible to damage caused by it, as with anyone else. It is capable of blowing apart large boulders, shattering stone walls, and demolishing small structures and entire sections of buildings.

This creates an shockwave that causes damage, such as deep bruises, to targets and blows them [10] meters away from the user. It causes moderate environmental damage in a [5] meter radius.
NAME: Missile TYPE: Offensive RANK: C [B-Rank Damage] MODS: Area of Effect(Ranged) DESCRIPTION: The user creates and launches a magic missile toward a target in a [15] meter radius. When it strikes the targeted area, it will produce an explosion with a [3] meter radius. It causes moderate environmental damage upon detonation, and to targets caught within it, deep bruises and second degree burns.
NAME: Thunder Steps TYPE: Offensive RANK: C MODS: Flight DESCRIPTION: The user imbues their legs with explosive magical power, producing a thrust that launches them into the air. They are to fly and move at speeds beyond that of what an average person could reach, for the spells duration, which is [3] posts. After this time span, the effect will end.
